A
monthly classroom lesson provides a continuous level of character
education and coping skills that will continue to benefit students
as they develop. The Indiana Development Model focuses on three
areas of learning to promote individual success: Learning
to Live (with yourself and others), Learning
to Learn (professional and academic achievement), and
Learning to Work (together and individually).
Small support groups are offered throughout the year in the following
areas: New student, Self-control, Self respect, Social skills,
Study skills and Trauma and Loss. If you fell your child would
benefit from any of these groups please inform your child’s
teacher or Ms. Ohrazda.
If your family or child is experiencing a stressful time, please
feel free to contact your school counselor. Often times, personal
challenges at home can impact the learning of a child at school.
Short term individual counseling or crisis intervention may help
your child work through a difficult time. Your school counselor
is a good resource to help you and your family during a difficult
time as well as refer you to outside sources that may be of help.
